Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Dorit shared how she reacted to the news.
“You know, all of these things, obviously, I learned afterwards, so I wasn’t surprised,” she shared.
But she changed her tune when she learned that Kyle texted PK about her split before the texted Dorit.
“I was surprised in the moment that she had texted him before she ever texts me,” Dorit shared.
“And then Erika [Jayne] had to encourage her to text me.”
Dorit recently spilled about the “extreme” nature of her split from PK.
In the premiere, Dorit opened up to Kyle Richards’ sister Kathy Hilton about what came between her and PK.
She told Kathy that PK is a “full-blown alcoholic.”
However, PK claimed that he is newly sober – maybe as a result of the increased tension between him and his wife.
Meeting with Mauricio Umansky, PK revealed his sobriety journey, which apparently did not come in time to save his marriage with Dorit.
“We were just taking bites out of each other the whole f*cking time,” PK told Mau.
“I had a lot of resentment,” he spilled to his friend. “Dorit isn’t the most able to listen. She’s not.”
But Dorit stood up for herself.
“I chose to stick by PK’s side through a bunch of public scrutiny,” Dorit claimed in a confessional.
“But for PK, it’s poof — let’s just get a separation. Isn’t there a way to meet in the middle? Obviously, but not with someone like PK. It’s black, it’s white; It’s extreme.”
Financial problems also increased the tension between the couple, as PK confessed to Mauricio.
“[Dorit] could say, ‘Well, you were away,’ and I could say, ‘Well, I was working,’ and trying to sustain the lifestyle that Dorit and I live,” PK revealed. “And also to sustain her ambition.”
Dorit said that the decision to split was ultimately mutual.
There was no catastrophic event, no one cheated on anyone,” Dorit confessed in a scene where she spoke with castmate Erika Jayne.
“A week ago, there was a moment and it was over nothing. One thing led to another and we sat down like two very mature adults who love and care about one another and mutually decided that taking some space and separating is the best thing for us.”
She revealed she was prioritizing her children as well.
We can be doing things as a family. We’re not in a toxic place,” Dorit said.
Dorit and PK’s financial issues don’t seem to have lessened as their home enters into foreclosure.
According to records reported by The Sun, Dorit and PK have missed four or more payments, resulting in pre-foreclosure.
They also reported that no repayments have been made on the home yet, but that the exes could save their home if they repaid the missed payments in a lump sum.
Though there are other legal options, it appears PK and Dorit have yet to take any.
As The Sun notes, PK owed almost $1 million to the IRS in unpaid taxes last year.
Despite their accumulating debt over the years, they purchased their Encino home for $6.5 million in 2019.
